Level 3 in Computing Diploma
The Level 3 in Computing Diploma (L3DC) is a comprehensive qualification that introduces students to the field of computing and prepares them for higher education or entry-level careers in the industry.
Entry Requirements:
Students must meet the following entry requirements:
- Completed their GCSE/IGCSE ‘O’ Levels or an equivalent* qualification in their own country and passed 5 subjects with minimum grades of ‘C’, ‘4’ or equivalent* in each. These should include Mathematics and English.
OR
Have a valid score of 5.5 or above in the International English Language Testing System (IELTS) examination or equivalent for students whose first language is not English. Alternatively, students can take the free NCC Education Higher English Placement Test which is administered at our centre.
Where a student doesn’t have a GCSE Mathematics qualification at grades C/4 or equivalent*, they can take the free NCC mathematics placement test administered at out centre.
* We will need to make a decision for any equivalency decision (both qualification equivalency and grade equivalency) pertaining to any enrolments via non-GCSE or non-standard routes.

Alongside delivering the Level 3 in Computing course to our students, any students who have not achieved a minimum of Grade C/4 in both GCSE English Language and Mathematics, or equivalent*, will be offered the chance to prepare and take their GCSEs examinations in these two subjects. Where a student has achieved these grades they can opt to retake these for a better grade OR can opt out altogether.
This is included at no additional costs for ALL students in the academic year 2024-2025.
